Our Mission
A clear, calming, and practical guide for parents learning to manage their child's new T1D diagnosis. Breathe. You've got this.
Start Learning

First step
It is not caused by diet or lifestyle. The body's immune system mistakenly attacks the beta cells in the pancreas, stopping it from producing insulin.

Tech now
With modern technology like CGMs (Continuous Glucose Monitors) and insulin pumps, children with T1D can do everything other children do.

Where to
Children with T1D can do everything other children do. They can play competitive sports, eat cake at birthday parties, and live fully.

Did you know?
Feeling overwhelmed is normal. The period immediately following a diagnosis is often described by parents as grieving process. You are taking on the job of an organ (the pancreas) manually. It is exhausting, scary, and overwhelming. Be patient with yourself. The numbers won't always be perfect, and that is okay. Connect with local support groups or organizations like JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
